An Article on Double Happiness
In the April 8, 2004 edition of Hong Kong's Next Magazine,
there was an interesting article on the Double Happiness Company.
Here are some interesting statisitics:
- DHS makes 100 million TT balls annually, accounting for
60% of world total.
- DHS makes 3 million blades annually.
- Sales volume: 380 million RMB.
- Profit: 30 million RMB.
- 80% of competition TT balls used in the world made by
DHS.
- Stiga, Nittaku, Joola and Donic order balls from DHS.
- After gluing, TT balls take 1 month in a 50C chamber to
dry. In the '60's, it took 112 days to make TT balls.
- DHS factory is in a suburb of Shanghai.
