Risk Acceptability We could list every possible eligible
Class Code for each Workers' Compensation Carrier that we represent. Then
you could spend a lot of time scrolling through hundreds of Class Codes, and
if you found the Code you were looking for, great, you would fax or e-mail
your submission to us. If you didn't find the Code you were looking for,
you would assume that it was ineligible, and wouldn't bother sending your
submission to us.
At ASIA, we don't think that works real well, for you or for us. Let's
be honest, just because a Class Code is eligible for a particular Carrier,
does not necessarily mean that the Carrier will write that particular
account. Loss experience and the particular type of operations the Insured
is performing within a Class Code weigh heavily in a Carrier's willingness
to accept or decline a particular account. The Class Code is obviously a
start, but by no means does it indicate a definite "yes" or a
"no" in the current market.
We have established strong, trusting relationships with Carriers over the
years. We don't just push paper. We underwrite, and our Carriers
appreciate, respect, and value that. If a Class Code is not on their
"eligible" list, it does not necessarily mean that they won't
listen to us if we present a good, clean account. We have had plenty of
success in writing accounts that are technically "ineligible."
What do we think works? Whatever is easier for you. You may prefer to
give us a call for a quick analysis of a particular risk's acceptability
before you send in your full submission. That often saves both our agency,
and more importantly, your agency, valuable time and money. You can also
send us a quick
if you prefer.
When you do submit to us, please keep in mind that we can provide our
fastest and most competitive quote if you provide the following:
- Fully completed ACORD 130 Workers' Compensation application
- 3 - 5 years of currently valued (within 60 days) Loss Runs
- A detailed description of your Insured's operations
