"Confessions
of a New York Call-Girl" (1998)
A 45 min. documentary,
it depicts matter-of-factly the life of a Columbia University
graduate student working as an elite call-girl by night. The
focus is on how casual and widespread the "escort" phenomenon
has grown to be in large cities throughout the world and on
what insidious evils are lurking behind the seemingly tremendous
financial reward. The doc has been called "best documentary
on the subject" by recognized social-worker figure Frank Barnaba
from the "Paul & Lisa Foundation" to help women out of prostitution.
"Peru:
between the Hammer & the Anvil" (1996)
A 52 min. documentary,
it assesses the damages inflicted on the Peruvian society
by fifteen years of the most violent insurgency war between
the cult-like Shining Path and the Peruvian Armed Forces that
have been restlessly abusing human-rights under the guidance
of semi-dictator Alberto Fujimori. It won an AFI/Sony Award
for best documentary and was shown all over Europe by Planet
Network. Widely acclaimed by Peruvians in Peru and abroad,
the doc infuriated both sides of this barbaric conflict, something
we take pride about and has proved us right in our quest for
non-partisan truth and justice.
"Sex,
Ties & Lots of Videotapes" (2001)
A 26 min. documentary, it depicts in a fun, hip and quick
way the impressive but also sometimes almost candid ventures
into mainstream of some of Los Angeles' top and most profitable
porn production companies. A fast, very musical MTV-like montage
takes the audience into a twirl of facts about the porn industry
in a way both entertaining and still meaningful. No narration
there whatsoever, the people in the business tell their own
story. It's up to the spectators to make their own opinion
based on facts, not biases. Hosted by world-famous porn-star
Stacey Valentine and featuring Larry Flynt. Originally intended
for mature European audiences, Sex, Ties & Lots of
Videotapes contains graphic depictions of pornographic
sets with explicit nudity. Viewer discretion is advised.
