Message from Ho
It is the beginning of a new year-- “year of monkey”. As we move into 2004, I look forward to working with our partners and clients to provide enterprise architecture services for the US and Chinese-speaking markets around the world. Last year was both rewarding and challenging. We at HoTech Corp continued to grow our business, experience and partnership as the economy was recovering. We focused on expanding our expertise beyond insurance and financial industries. We have gained significant experiences and knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector. We have constructed the foundation for successful long-term partnerships with several industry experts during the past two years. The alliance is showing positive signs of our collective strategic focus and unique capabilities.This alliance includes several exceptional data experts, a national solution integration company and a Taiwan-based CRM software and consulting service company. We also established a partnership with DebTech International, L.L.C.-- the leader of IT education by leading industry experts..

Several recent polls and studies show that the general trend in the market has been up and the economy has been showing strength. Though the jobs market remains weak, momentum is carrying things forward as we expect the economy to be stronger regardless of the disappointing unemployment rate. In November, I presented at the Enterprise Data Forum in Philadelphia; the topic was about Data Integration. Specifically, I talked about how to decide whether to consolidate or to federate disparate data sources. This is an important topic which has come up in many meetings with our clients in different industries.

Among other positive development and advances in 2003, I was particularly glad that DAMA International elected me as an advisor for 2003. This was not only a great personal honor, it was also a positive endorsement of our technical and professional expertise. There are five advisors on the DAMA International Advisory Board: John Zachman was appointed Advisor Emeritus. The other Advisors are Graeme Simsion from Australia, Simon Dunford from UK, and Dr. Peter Aiken.
