Mr. Patterson received his Juris Doctor degree from the John F. Kennedy University School of Law, and also received the coveted American Jurisprudence Award in Legal Research & Writing.  While in law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the John F. Kennedy University Law Review.

Mr. Patterson practices Labor and Employment litigation and counseling in both federal and California state courts.  He has represented employers and organizations in administrative hearings before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, San Francisco Civil Service Commission and the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board. He also conducts training in sexual harassment prevention and discrimination awareness.

Mr. Patterson is a member of the State Bar of California (Labor & Employment Law Section); the San Mateo County Bar Association (Labor & Employment Law Section) and serves as a Fee Arbitrator with the Santa Clara County Bar Association Fee Arbitration Panel and as a Court Arbitrator with the San Mateo County Superior Court.

He also authors the technology column, "The Software Corner" which appears in "The Docket," the news and information journal of the San Mateo County Bar Association.
