Here is a short clip of Ma Lin playing Samsonov at the German Open. Right click on file to save first before viewing.

This year's German Open was very exciting to watch, probably one of the best Pro-Tour stops thus far. In the MS semifinals, Ma defeated Russian Alexei Smirnov 4-0. Smirnov has a very good backhand that he used very effectively against Ma, but the outcome was never in doubt. Ma was in control of that match. The other semifinal was exhilarating: Samsonov vs Kreanga. Lots of long rallies, tremendous shot-making and comebacks, and the crowd was very enthusiastic. Samsonov won a tight match to face Ma in the finals. With the score at 1-1, Samsonov got a 7-3 lead, but in this match no lead was safe. Ma caught up at 8-all, and went on to win that game 11-8. In the 3rd game, Samsonov raced to an apparently safe lead of 10-5, and everyone expected the match to be tied. The video clip contained the rest of that game.
