Here's some pictures of our addition (summer 2004) now that is is finally done.  In addition to adding on, we (yes we) also repainted most of the interior of the "old" part of the house (for most of the rooms, we had to remove wallpaper first )

Below is the side addition as viewed from the driveway (the part that is pulled out).  The top room is Rachel's bedroom and the 1st floor room is the kids playroom.

Below is the new family room from the back.  We use to have a deck here but now just have a smaller walkway between the screened in porch and the new family room.  On the 2nd floor, you can see where the new cedar shakes (shingles) are vs the old.  But now the colors are matched fairly well (they age quickly).  The window above the new family room is Samantha's bedroom.  The window above the screened in porch is Rachel's old bedroom which is now a craft room for Kelly.

Below is the new family room from the inside with the new TV and Great Grandma Moore's ficus plant.  This is the view from the kitchen looking out the new pass through window (used to be a window to the back yard).  Behind our yard is a 3-4 acre common ground area that the home owners association owns and is encircled by houses so it can't be built on.  This is one of the reasons we decided to add on and add so many windows in the back.

Below shows the family room looking from the entrance in the back right corner of the room (from the study).

Here's Christmas morning (again looking through from the kitchen pass-through).  There's a double window on the right wall.

Here's the "study" which is between the family room (shown in background) and the kids playroom (where the picture is being taken from).  To the left is the kitchen entrance.  It is not a traditional "study" as there is a lot of traffic flow, but it keeps us near the kids.

He's Samantha's room.  The window partially shown on the left is above the family room (faces backyard).

Here's Rachel's room (facing front yard) and her new bed.  Also shown is the hardwood floors - we redid all the floors in the house with hardwood everywhere except for a few rooms.

Oooops - don't have any picts of the Kids playroom right now...
